Hi everyone
I am new to this, so please bear with me
for a moment. I should start off by
telling you that I am a 27 year old
female. I have been struggling with both
anorexia and bulimia for the past 8 years.
I have a very small appetite and when I do
eat, I usually make myself throw up right
after. No one knows about my ED's,
including my doctor. He comments on my
being too skinny, but thats as far as it
goes. My so called other half, is always
on my case about not eating, but I tend to
ignor him. (our Relationship is a very
compliacted one, and extreamly stressful
of that)
Anyway, for the past few month I have been
getting attacks of severe abdominal pain
that usually lasts about a day. The
attacks usually come in the evening and I
usually end up in the hospital having to
get either momorphinr demerol to ease the
pain. It is worse then lalabournd
childbirth. I have undergone numerous
tests like CAT scans, ulultra soundsblood
work, and so far everything keeps coming
up normal. The attacks first started out
ococcuringbout once a month, and then
started once a week, then 3 times a
week....each time lasting longer and
longer. I have just gone through a week of
it straight, going to the hospital 2 to 3
times a day.
Has anyone else gone through something
like this? I need to find out what is
wrong with me. The doctor is currently
treating me for Crohn's, but isn't sure if
thats the problem. The pain is usually
around my navel area and you can usually
feel a lump that moves around. And it is
extreamly noisy like gassy.
I am desperate to find out what is the
matter, so if anyone has any info that can
help, please let me know.
