I have been getting severe abdominal pain
from the center of my upper abdomen (about
where my ribs meet) straight down through
my abdomen & circling around to my back
for about 3 months. I've had it at least
3 times where it's lasted over 12 hours
and some moderate pain in between. I've
been tested for gall stones, ulcer, gall
bladder function, and a cat scan - all
normal except for an ovarian cyst. GI doc
has me on antidepressants & muscle
relaxers which I think is a crock - if
they can't figure it out it's always
stress. I went to my ob/gyn for a lump on
my breast (which I think is ok) & told him
about the cyst; he sent me for bloodwork &
my CA125 is up. He wanted me to take the
test again after my next period but I
don't have periods because I'm on a
progesterone only pill to help my
migraines. I'm scheduled for a mammogram
& ultrasound next month. I really am
frustrated because my docs don't seem to
care or want to return my phone calls when
I'm in agony (now if I didn't call the
parents of my students back I'd be in deep
trouble even though I don't get paid when
the docs do or deal with health issues....
but that's another story.) Anyway, any
suggestions? Solutions? Just a thought
that someone actually cared about my
inability to move or hold my daughter for
days at a time would help....
