If your last menstruation was on Jan. 18th
and had an abortion 4 weeks ago (March
24th), I really doubt that you saw a
“baby coming out of the womb”. At 9-10
weeks pregnancy age abortion is done with
curettage and no baby can be seen. It is
normal to miss the period in the first few
months after the abortion because the body
needs time to establish regular menstrual
cycles. A pregnancy test is still positive
in the first few weeks after the abortion
or delivery until HCG is completely
removed.
Theoretically, your suspicion (remained
one fetus) is possible but practically
that possibility is very unlikely because
before and after the abortion ultrasound
scans are made.
You can do another pregnancy test and if
it is still positive you may want to
consult your gynecologist.
