Agonizing pain during first trimester
Posted: 07-21-08 16:07pm

Hello everyone. I'm new in this website, and already found it to be very helpful. I've already submitted this post, but in the wrong place I believe. I'm sorry if anyone has already read it.

When I first found out I was pregnant, I was in my 3rd week. I was so excited, but it didn't last long. The day after, I started having intestinal cramping, followed by constant diarrhea, and agonizing pain. It just continue to happen, for 3 long months. The pain was worse than the labor pain. It seemed as if my intestines were being pulled away from me in every direction, twisted around, and there was no way to make the pain go away. It happened all day long, for 3 months. I might have gone to the ER for at least 3 times, but I chose to not take any medication, because I was concerned about the baby. No doctor was able to figure out what was wrong, from my ob/gyn to my gastroenteorolgist. Now my son is 8 months old, the pain has not returned, and everthing is fine. But I would like to get pregnant again. My fear is that the pain will return during my first trimester. Can anyone please help me? Has anyone had this before? Any idea of what could have happened? The problem now is that if I have the same kind of pain, I have a baby to take care of, where before I was only focusing in graduating from college and my internship.
Thank you all
