Almost 13 weeks pregnant... Posted: 04-21-08 09:39am
I've had somewhat of a baby bump since 10
weeks... Even my midwife and my grandma
notices... Am I showing too soon?
And my midwife wants to wait until I'm
about 19 weeks [Thats somewhere around my
4th prenatal visit] to do the ultrasound
to see if its a boy or girl...should i
have already had one to see if the baby
implanted in the right spot, or to see how
many I'm having??

every doctor does things differently, not
all do early ultrasounds, the "bump" could
be due to bloating, it is very normal

It might be just bloating, but if you
think it's twins, ( if you seem to be
growing a little faster or meaursing too
big), it's best to get it done early.
Being a little bigger doesn't necessarily
mean twins, it could mean extra water in
the sack, a big baby, a growth spurt for a
single fetus, etc.
Sometimes having twins brings on a whole
set of complications on it's own and you
would want to know if you were having
twins and everything was ok as early as
possible.
