I am 31 years old. I am already the
mother of a beautiful girl who is 18
months old. I was on birth control while
nursing and for a few months after. I
quit taking the pill in January because my
hubbie and I are ready for number 2. My
first period was on schedule, 28 day
calendar, then in February I didn't get my
period until 39 days and the March and
April I had normal periods. My last
period was April 7th and I should have
gotten my period on or about May 5th. A
week before that I had nausea but then got
a fever and diarrhea, and chalked it up to
the flu. I have had lower back pain and
swollen breasts. My first pregnancy was
easier to tell because I was off the pill
for about 8 months and had a regular cycle
and when I was late, I was pretty sure.
But being that I recently came off the
pill, I am not sure. My heart tells me,
yes, you are pregnant and my hopes are
high but my logical brain tells me, you
were late once since getting off the pill,
just wait a little longer. As of today it
has been 36 days since last period. A
part of my says get a test, confirm it and
the logical part of me, says wait until 40
days and then get a test because if late
like before just throwing away money on a
test and what will a few more days of
waiting hurt. I have been on prenatal
vitamins since January so that is not a
problem. I just wanted some other women's
thoughts and opinions. Thanks.

your 36days late?
you should go out and get a test, you
could be pregnant, why wait 4 more days?
just get a test from the dollar store or
something and test it
anyone could guess that yes you are
pregnant, but only a test & a doctor
can confirm it.

No, I'm sorry maybe I worded that wrong.
Not 36 days late. I am only a week late,
my period was to be on May 5th. I meant
in a cycle since the day of my last period
it has been 36 days when ususally it is 28
days.

we started to make love after the 5th may
the day after i finnished my normal
period and 2 or 3 days after i started to
bleed like a nose bleed on and off and
for 3 days this happend
then 2 days ago my boobs started to get
sore i have had cramp in my belly for 5
days and i am eating strange foods
some times vomit after i eat i also have
lower back pains .... i went to the doc
she said ur not preg take these tablets
and it will stop the bleeding ......the
thing is i dont feel i should take them
as i still feel strange its been 10 days
now and each day i still feel diffrent
......my 1st pregnacey was also wired i
was sick but did a test and it said no ur
not preg then i had a smear due i told
the hospital and they did a test again
they say no ur not a week later i still
felt as i am right now and it was
posative ......hes 3 next month so
what do i do i dont wanna keep my hopes
up but i dont wanna take them tablets
help me some one

To Mommyofmaggie. I think your ok to go
ahead and take a test. Your a week late
and have been trying. Yes sometimes when
getting off a pill it can mess with your
cycle but hopefully since you had a two
normal cycles then a missed period you
where able to conceive! Take a test and
make sure to let us know what happens!
