Is it normal at 27 to miss your period for
6 months at a time (No I am not pregnant,
abstinence), then when you have a period /
/ not to have normal flow just 3-4 days
of clots / / I have abdominal pain that
doesn't really feel like cramps that I
have had in the past, but they could be
cramps I guess.
I asked my PCP briefly about this but He
said I was just stressed out.

No. I would see a gyno about it- they know
a lot more about reproductive issues than
most docs.
The easiest thing to rule out is your
diet- are you a healthy weight/ getting
enough nutrition? Otherwise, there could
be a medical cause. Most likely nothing
too serious.

It does sound like a stress issue, but you
might also want to see if there is
something else causing it. It could be a
hormonal imbalance and that's not healthy.
It will cause too much estrogen to build
up in your system which can cause a lot of
problems in the future. It is important
that you talk to your doctor about getting
your cycle back on track.
Are the cramps constant, or is it like you
feel as if your period could be starting
and can't?
How long have you been missing your
periods for 6 months at a time?
