Hello, ive had a bad problem for a few
months now. First, out of nowhere one day
I started getting an intense dull pain in
my rectum/colon area (it felt deeper than
rectum). It was so bad that I didn't feel
like getting out of bed and had trouble
sleeping. bowel movements were incomplete
and stringy. I went to the doctor and he
set me up with a colonoscopy. the
colonoscopy came back clear and the pain
went away and stayed away. Now i have no
pain but I have two problems.
1)after bowel movements on occasion, it
feels as if the stool doesn't fully come
out as if it just breaks off or something
up inside instead of it all exiting. Its
messy to wipe and doesn't feel
uncomfortable right away but a little
later I'll have to wipe again and see
residue on the tp. the weird thing is, i
went for almost two weeks not having this
problem at all, bowel movements felt
complete and no leakage after but then out
of nowhere i'll get it again and I could
be back to normal the next day with a
normal bowel movement. My stool seems to
be fluctuating as far as consistency goes
as well. sometimes it is normal and
sometimes it is soft, and other times most
of it comes out normal then the last bit
comes out very soft. the leakage problem
is driving me crazy. I tried adding fiber
and it didn't make much difference either
way, id still get the leakage problem
maybe once a week. actually, the week
after i stopped adding more fiber to my
diet my bowel movements seem to get a
little more regular in consistancy.
My second problem is, and i dont know if
its related, im getting a dull ache in my
pelvis. it feels like its just a dull,
inflamed feeling behind my pubic bone and
in my rectal area. it seems to always get
worse after bowel movements. its not bad,
I can still work out and excersize with it
but its just an annoying feeling after
bowel movements.
I do have IBS (mildy, but every so often I
get random bouts of diarrea) but i've
never had this before. Im wondering what
the leakage problem could be? I've heard
of colon spasms from IBS causing the
incomplete evacuation thing but never anal
leakage. I also thought maybe the dull
ache (along with the sharper rectal pain I
got when this all started) was from
levator ani syndrome but that isn't
supposed to affect bowel movements? I
can't seem to find an answer. please help,
thanks
