Anxiety and sensitive neuropathy
Posted: 06-10-08 10:34am

Should I get this medical condition checked out, (the one I have listed above) my leg does not feel numb but it is definitely something new that I just started noticing yesterday.

pasted from above (I just started getting a warm feeling down my right leg. I will be sitting and it feels like someone is pouring warm water down the inside of my leg, a very warm sensation, I felt the outside of my leg and my foot but it doesn't feel warm. It has been happening about 4 - 6 times per day)

Current medical status: I just started getting a warm feeling down my right leg. I will be sitting and it feels like someone is pouring warm water down the inside of my leg, a very warm sensation, I felt the outside of my leg and my foot but it doesn't feel warm. It has been happening about 4 - 6 times per day.

Warm sensations from one leg could be due to anxiety or sensitive neuropathy. Sensitive neuropathy can be due to many other diseases (diabetes, alcohol abuse, infections, neurological disorders, etc.). Neuropathies that are due to chronic diseases usually do not start suddenly but develop over a longer period of time. Your symptoms have just started so a chronic disease is less likely but still, that has to be checked with a clinical examination and certain tests.

You may want to consult your primary health provider for a physical examination and standard blood analyses (blood count, hemoglobin, sedimentation rate, glucose, liver enzymes, urea, creatinin and lipid status).
