Baby Boy/Girl Names for X-Mas Baby
Posted: 06-23-08 17:01pm

Me and my wife are trying to think of some catchy names for our baby. Our baby is due Dec 22, 2008 and we are wishing for a Boy but never know could be a Girl Smile

Names we like so far...

Bryson, Zachery, Skylar, Conner "Boy's"

Abbie "Girl's"

Middle Name "Tanner"

Can any of you help me find some names near / around the likes of those?
I did research and there are people in my family who already have used the names Bryson and Zachery and those were the main names we liked so any and all help is very appreciated. Thanks!

I like Zachary and Conor, but do not care for the spellings you have of them. "Conner" looks like a word for a person who cons people, and while I I know Connor is the most common spelling, Conor is the original one, and, at least to me, looks more like an actual first name. Connor/Conner looks like a surname. Zachary with an E will just make your son have to tell everyone how to spell his name.

Bryson also sounds more like a surname than a first name, and boys' names beginning with Br- and ending with on/en/an are very popular right now. Just something to keep in mind, he'll probably have a lot of boys with names like Braden and Brendan in his classes.

I like Abbie as a nickname for Abigail, but it seems very insubstantial as a full name- I wouldn't want to have to put plain Abbie on my resume. It would look informal.

Some names similar to Bryson and Zachary:
Brendan
Bryan
Bryce
Zachariah
Zacharias

Names with nicknames similar to Abbie, if you don't like Abigail:
Addie- Adelaide, Adeline, Adela, Adele, Adina, Adriana
Aggie- Agatha, Agnes
Allie- Alice, Althea, Aletheia, Alexandra, Alison, Alanna, Alina, Alissa
Callie- Calixta, Calanthia
Maddie- Madeleine, Madelina

Zachary is nice though I much prefer Zachariah or Zacharias. I also don't mind Skyler but for a girl, I prefer Skye better because its my daughter's name.
