Hi I am new here, nice forum, I just had a
few question about my back pain, I hve had
back pain for about 6 years now my doctor
has never really said what is wrong but
its in my l5 s1, my pain is in the lower
right side of my back into my right
buttox, doctor gives me lortab 7.5 for
pain. doesn't really limit me from alot,
other then hard labor that involves me
using my back same pain for all these
years untill 2 weeks ago I had to pull a
toilet up to put a wax ring on it. and
while I was doing it I really broke down
in my in back, major pain in the dead
center of the l5 s1 I mean the night I put
the wax ring on I couldn't even hardly get
up if I sit down couldn't bend at all very
weak feeling, and now after the 2 weeks
went by I am still feeling this horrible
pain not as bad as 1st night but I still
feel weak when I try to get up pain is
very intense hurts very bad to try to
bend, lifting my son even hurts taking
deep breath I feel pain, getting up out of
bed is the wrost, can anyone give me some
insight on what may have happen can't get
into my doctor for another week and half

Sorry to read about your back pain.
Is your doctor a GP (PCP)? If so, I would
highly recommend that you search for the
best spinal surgeon in your area and make
an appointment with that doctor.

I know what you are going through, The
first day it happened I was playing with
my kids and I twisted funny and I fely
something move in my back and I didn't
think anything about it till about 4 hours
later I couldn't lift my arms over my head
and then later that night I couldn't even
get up off the floor. I went to the
doctor the next day and they gave me an x
ray and saw something wrong in my lower
back, and all the doctor did was give me
anti inflamitories, muscle relaxers and
pain killers, but that did not work so I
waited a week and said this is just
getting worse, so I got an MRI and that
showed a big herneated disk in my L5 S1
area. So I went to a specialist and said
we need to get you in for a
Microdiskectomy in two weeks to see if it
would heal on its own but it didn't so I
had the procedure on May 7,2008, and feel
a lot better but am still having intense
pain so we will se what happens in a few
weeks. Hope I don't have to have another
one. So get in and get an MRI that is the
only way to see whats wrong for sure.
