back pain under shoulder blade Posted: 03-14-08 13:37pm
I have had back pain on the left side of
my back underneath my shoulder blade for
almost two months now. I have been to the
doc and I have had an x-ray and an MRI of
my spine etc. The x-ray was negative of
any injuries and the MRI showed that I
have minimal degenerative disc disease in
the cervical (neck) and that's all it
showed. NOTHING about where the pain is
located?? I am wondering if anybody had
any suggestions or opinions on why I am
getting this pain. I've tried to sleep
differently, I tried physical therapy etc.
I have no pain when trying to lift or
move or anything like that, the pain comes
on strongly when I wake up in the morning
and breathe or cough and I do not smoke
and then after about an hour or so later
the pain diminishes to just a dull ache?
I have run out of ideas on what it might
be? Can anyone help?

Hello Kellygil,
I commend you for having the x-rays and
MRIs. That is a BIG step in the right
direction. Though it has not indicated
why you are having the back pain, they do
tell you what most likely is NOT causing
your back pain.
Okay, now where to? Kellygil, may I ask
you how long you have had your current
mattress? Also, would you be so kind and
let us know if it is a "firm" mattress,
one with a pillowtop, or anything else you
think we should know about?
I (we) look forward to your reply.

I had a big success with Acupressure Mat
(Tibetan Applicator). It helps with most
of muscle and joint pain and all sort of
upper and low back pain.
