hey guys! ive always had a "popping" to
my jaw when ive chewed or w/e for the past
4 yrs or so. I saw an orthodontist(sp)
and he said nothing was wrong. Well for
the past month it has been hurting
extreamly bad and is getting worse. Im
having trouble eating solid foods b/c it
hurts so bad when i chew. Im afraid of
not getting to eat enough of what i need
to b/c im pregnant, thats also why i will
not take any kinds of meds. I was
wondering what this is and what is causing
it??? Is there anything at home that i
could do that does not involve pain
meds???? Thanks guys for any advice!!! Oh
also its my right jaw and my right ear and
neck are hurting...i dont know if those
are linked or not just thought i would add
that! Thanks!

hey--its probably stress id see a
chiropractor if i were you--im proud that
you want to do this with out meds. i dont
take any meds and never have--except those
that i had to take as a result of surgery
dont worry about getting enough to eat--go
soft diet----if you need to use a
blender--and eat eat eat. I have a cook
book that i could send you if you wanted
it
ice that jaw---also consider neuromuscular
dentistry--it helped me and many others
lots of doctors say there is nothing wrong
they just dont know how to treat it and so
dont want to see the problem. the ear and
neck and jaw are related --a chiropractor
would help that. the jaw can refer pain to
other parts of the body as well. like
haveing an ear ach with out infection--its
just your jaw telling it it hurts when it
really doesnt. if you need anyting or have
any questions dont hesitate to contact me

Thank you so much for the reply!! My dh
and i were actually seeing a chiropractor
up until about 2 mths ago. But i actually
was going through the phone book tonight
to find some close by. I didnt know they
could help my jaw! I was just looking b/c
of my back and neck. We needed to switch
and found out we were preg. so now im just
nervous about finding one who really knows
what they are doing with pregnant women.
Also what is neuromuscular dentistry??? I
have never heard of that before?? Im glad
to hear that the ear neck and jaw are
related, i thought i was going crazy!
Thank you again for the reply!!!!

no problem---im on quite often and usually
can get to you rather quickly
if yo want pm me and ill see about finding
you a chiropractor. my doctor knows all
kinds of good doctors and i can ask him
for you. In fact this chiropractor was the
one taht got me on the road to recovery
and was the only doctor to make me feel
better at all.
neuromuscular dentistry is a dentist that
works with the bite and the jaw together.
the mucsles sometimes are out of place. so
this dentist, with the help of an orthotic
retrains the muscles into their proper
functional position---ive used it and it
worked. and it made sense---i can help you
finding those as well.
make sure that you get proper nutrition
with this---its hard but you can do it.
and congratulations on the baby.
