Bartholyn Gland and black stool Posted: 03-02-08 17:45pm
My left gland was removed 25 yrs. ago.
Last 4 days the right side has been
painful but I have no swelling like
before. So I'm not sure if it is the
bartholyn gland. I can't feel any
swelling but when I tough there it is
painful. Could it still be the gland or
could it be something else? Also just had
my first black stool. I take no iron
meds, no changes in meds, no changes in
eating only difference last 3 days was I
needed to take maalox. Could this
coincide with the pain in the bartholyn
area?

Possible internal bleeding, that has been
in the body for some time, and is coming
from higher up in the GI track, can give
the black color of stool.
What other kind of meds you are taking?
Do you have problems like stomach ulcer?
For how long you are experiencing
hurtburn?
