I was diagnosed apx. 4 years ago with
bipolar depression. Since then, I have
tried Gabapentin with risperdal and
Lithium with antidepressants. I am no
longer medicated as I found that with meds
I feel depressed all of the time, without
any light at the end of the tunnel.
Instead of meds, I learned to combat my
moods with cognitive strategies. This
seems to be working well (1 year without
meds) as I feel less depressed than I was
on the meds. (I also use a daylight to
combat the low moods).
I have only missed one day of work in the
past year due to a depressed mood.
I have missed multiple days of work
because of flu and ulcer like symptoms.
All medical tests have come up negative,
so I am sure these symptoms are from my
depression.
Seems that my low mood has been replaced
with aches, cramps, and nausea.
I am so worried that I will lose my job if
I don't fix these pains -- it feels nearly
impossible to work when I am sick, but I
am sick almost everyday.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have 2 boys dx with bipolar disorder and
1 with ADHD. We have treated with
conventional medications and the side
effects made me look elsewhere. I have
tried a number of alternative medicines.
They were marginally efficacious. I am
currently using products by Native
Remedies. My nine yr. old had bpd and
anxiety issues. He is taking triple
complex nerve tonic by Native Remedies. He
reports he feels better on this. I am
suggesting this to you as your symptoms
sound like you have an anxiety disorder
along with bpd. This is very common. The
nerve tonic is a homeopathic remedy. I am
not very well versed on homeopathy but I
am willing to try anything to help my
boys. Perhaps the nerve tonic would offer
you some relief. Native Remedies offers
many different formulas for various
disorders and ailments. I use two other
products by them and I am amazed at how
well they work. I am a nurse and nurses do
not get any education in alternative
medicine. Using them is making a believer
out of me. I encourage you to try it. The
nerve tonic is small tablets that cost
about $25.00 for about a month. It won't
set you back too much to give it a try. Go
to their website and check out the
products. You have nothing to lose. I hope
this is helpful.
