Birth control pills and additional contraceptive methods Posted: 06-17-08 05:02am
Good Afternoon. I need advice on the
taking of the pill (Melodene), if I missed
it for 3 day's. I took the last pill in
the pack (non-hormonal pink tablets), on
Saturday, but wasn't able to reach a
pharmacy to receive my next pack, therefor
I've missed my first, second and third
active pills. I'm going to the pharmacy
tonight, but how to I take the pills? Do i
take both the missed pills of Sunday and
Monday and also take today's one, therefor
taking 3 pills in one day? Please I need
your urgent advice?

According to the recommendations from the
manufacturer, if you miss the first 3
pills from the first week you can continue
taking the pills while discarding the
missed pills. You should use additional
contraceptive methods (condom or avoiding
sex) in the next 7 days.
