I am 14 weeks pregnant. every time after i
pee i feel an uncomfortable feeling that
only burns every once in a while. It is
drivin me nuts. I had a glass of cranberry
juice and i am callin the doctor tomorrow.
Has anyone had this problem or knows about
it. Do you think my baby is ok? Any
advice?

very well could be a uti, so long as you
get it taken care of your baby will be
fine, i got bacterial vaginosis when i was
18 weeks with my daughter (i went in
because i was having bad cramps) and they
gave me some antibiotics and i was just
fine and now i have a pretty happy mostly
healthy 10 month old girl (i say mostly
because she has problems but its not
caused by anything i did or had during my
pregnancy, her doctor made a point to be
sure i knew that lol)
just get it checked out, any time you are
in doubt get it checked out, better safe
then sorry
sorry im rambling im sleepy lol

i had a bladder infection in the beginning
of my pregnancy, and my doctor gave me
antibiotics too, really mild so there was
no effect to the baby.
Go to your doctor and they wil explain
your baby is fine, and the medication is
perfectly fine to take while pregnant, i
was worried too, but reassured it would be
ok.

Water water water. Nothing but antibiotics
will CURE it though, so DEFINITELY go to
your doctor. Cranberry juice will help
prevent it, along with A LOT of water.
Don't go too long, then it could become
more harmful to you and your baby. Good
Luck!

I am not sure if you have a uti because
you say it hurts AFTER you pee. Usually
it hurts while you are peeing. I have had
this before too....feeling a certain
burning after peeing and it just drives
you crazy. You can try using a flushable
wet wipe or (baby wipe) or a TUX pad to
get rid of this pain. Just use it every
time you pee and see what happens. A
doctor isn't necessary for this problem.
If it really is a UTI you can easily get
some cranberry juice and it should go
away. If you try drinking a few quarts
before tomorrow, it might just clear up
before you even have to take antibiotics:
I know it sounds crazy, but sometimes it
does go away on it's own without
medication.
Always be sure you wipe from front to back
when you use the bathroom.

i know that an untreated uti can cause
preterm labor after 20 weeks. so since
you're only 14 weeks i don't know if that
means you're at risk for a miscarriage.
definitely call your doctor as soon as
possible, a uti can easily be treated with
antibiotics.
if you do have a uti, cranberry juice will
relieve the symptoms but it will not cure
it. it also needs to be 100% cranberry
juice (not cocktail) and no sugar added.

not nessesarly, every time ive had a uti
it only hurts after i pee, it actualy
releives the pain for me when i pee
and i phrased that wrong, there wont be
any problems if you get it taken care of
PROMPTLY if you leave it and it gets bad
you could go into preterm labor/have a
miscarrage, so you need to get it looked
at sooner rather then later

yeah thats what i was told too from my
doctor.
if i didnt get it treated it could result
in premature birth.
and also that it does burn a little during
the infection..however i didnt get that
burny feeling when i had my bladder
infection. I was surprised when i heard i
had one.
just a question...are bladder infections
and uti's the same thing?
it sounds like it is..

UTI is a urinary tract infection. It is
similar/same as a bladder infection.
