Bladder infection
Posted: 06-09-08 05:58am

Hysterectomy one year ago. Ovaries left. Bladder suspension, anterior and posterior repair. All has been good until 10 days ago when I developed bad lower back pain, frequency of urine, normal flow, not painful. Have feeling of pressure in the back passage, as if wanting to visit the toilet. Aching but not painful.
Swelling of abdomen under the ribcage and also lower right. I have always had problems with my bowels and need to take Sennokot regularly.

Is there any chance my bladder has dropped again?

Current medical status: Aching Hysterectomy 1 year ago. Ovaries left. Bladder suspension. Anterior and posterior repair. All has been good up until 10 days ago when I developed bad lower back pain. Frequency of urine, although not painful and normal flow. Have feeling of pressure in the back passage, again not painful but uncomfortable, and swelling of the upper part of my stomach, under ribcage. I have always had problems with my bowels and need to take Sennokot granules regularly.

There is no indication as to why your womb had been removed. There is also no indication as to why a part of your kidney was removed 20 years ago.

Frequent urination could indicate a bladder infection. Bladder infections are more frequent if you have a “dropped bladder”. There are chances for the bladder dropping to reoccur.
