Bleeding alot after giving birth Posted: 03-23-08 18:45pm
After both of my kids were born I had
bleeding after I delivered them. They had
to give me injections to stop the
bleeding. My first born was the worse I
had to be given two different kinds of
medicine. Now I want to have another one
later on this year maybe and I want to
know if it would be ok too. I really want
another one but Im kind of scared.

Hey,
Couldn't really tell you but perhaps if
you pop your question in the "ask doctor"
section they may be able to help you
better.

It could be that your "clotting factor" is
low. You could experience more bleeding
then others. About 6 weeks is the normal
post birth bleeding cycle. at that time
you may pass some clots etc. It may be in
your best interest to mention this to your
doctor. A D&C may be in order to clean
you out. That is no uncommon.
