Well no offence but that is a little stupid saying you are to shy to purchase a home pregnancy test, so i guess if you are pregnant you will be to shy to deliver in a hospital as well. After ovulation part of what is released could have remained there and after having your periods it then could of released itself depending on the colour of the blood. If it was a dark colour than it is probable that some blood was left behind and only just escaped. If it is bright that indicates that it is fresh blood with high levels of oxygen present meaning it could be from an internal cut that you were un aware of. As for this being a sign of pregnancy ... normally women tend to stop bleeding whilst pregnant not start, a sign of misscarridge it could be. Ask your doctor ... as it may be a sign of something deeper.

Do you mean you're late for your period, or that you had it & it was just 8 days late this month? If your period's late, you need to take a pregnancy test. Even if your boyfriend didn't ejaculate in you there's still a risk of pregnancy. The "pull out method" is only about 70% effective.

I bought my first pregnancy test when I was 16, so I know what you mean about being shy, but it's really not a big deal. If you're worried about being judged or seeing someone you know while you're buying it, go to a shop you wouldn't normally go to.. then you don't have to go back there if you don't want to.

if you have irregular periods and you're 8 days late and you're bleeding... why wouldn't you assume this is your period? bleeding is not a sign of pregnancy.

It depends where you live ... most food shops sell them for around $5-$10 they are not very expensive. If you are worried that the shop keeper will judge you ... honestly do you think you are the only 17 year old having sex? No they probably have tons of people your age and younger buying pregnancy tests daily, not only that they probably have better things to worry about i.e like when they go on lunch or finish shift. Instead of just worrying abuot it go get a test or get your bf to get one. When I was 17 I thought I was pregnant and made my bf go and get a test for me, turns out I wasn't pregnant ... but I am still with him and 5 years later had his bubbi.

Condoms are about 97% effective. That means that even if it doesn't break and you use it properly, you still have a 3% chance of getting pregnant.

If you want to increase your chances of being safe, combine birth control methods (condoms the pill, for example) or abstain from sex completely.

I buy my tests using the self checkouts. Because even though I'm married, I still get a lot of dirty looks from people thinking I'm younger than I actually am. I actually had a lady walk up to me and tell me that "you should be ashamed of yourself" when I was 6 months pregnant. I just looked at her and said "for what?" Then I proceeded to tell her that I'm 24, been married for 5 years, have a good paying job, so back the hell off.

PMS maybe? If your pregnancy test is negative and your period is still missing, you should visit your doctor.

It sounds like you might be better off getting birth control pills to regulate your period. Works amazingly well, you get your period every 28 days like clockwork and pregnancy is not an issue.

Yes they certaintly can be. I had my son in April, and I take him out to the mall to walk on Friday's when I'm off work, and I can't believe the comments and looks that come from people. My kid is well dressed, well fed, and very well taken care of. I really do look like I am in high school, but that shouldn't matter.
