Hi, i'm new here and found this board by searching to find answers to some questions.
I have been having symptoms to which no one can tell me the cause. I have had EKG's done....3 to be exact....everything is normal. cholesterol is within normal range. Blood pressure is slightly elevated. Last Dr visit it was 120/73 I am on Atenolol for blood pressure. I am over weight and am trying to get it down.

Tonight is the first time this has happened in quite some time but when it happens I get scared out of my mind and don't know if I should go to the ER or just wait it out. I have no idea if it is my blood pressure spiking or what.

The symptoms are as follows:
I feel like breathing is just not doing what it is supposed to.
My body tingles like it's almost vibrating.
my arms are fatigued like I've held a 50 pound weight for 10 mins
my face tingles
tonight i raised up in the bed and saw blood vessels in my eyes
my head hurts kind of but not like a headache
my chest gets tight
i get nervous and i shake from being scared
My upper body gets HOT. Not like a burning sensation on the skin but deep within my body like heat and it radiates outward down my arms and up through my head that lasts long after everything else goes away. It's not as intense afterwards but it's still there in my arms somewhat.

This always happens when I'm in bed for some strange reason. I have to get up and sit and wait for it to go away before I can get sleep. I've been to the ER and 3 different docs and have been diagnosed with anxiety and panic disorder. I'm not on any meds for this. I don't really agree with the diagnosis. My PCP has given me several different prescriptions for depression but I'm not depressed.I don't take these meds. The last EKG was about 3 mos ago and was normal and didn't show any signs of anything whatsoever. Can someone please shed some light on this for me it's driving me crazy and I don't know what's wrong with me. This was also a DR question but I wouldn't get all of it in the question box and thought maybe someone else is experiencing the same thing and can maybe tell me something about it.
Thank you in advance
RDavis

I have thought of something I have done differently the past few days. I've been sitting at my computer desk longer for about 3 days now. Could that have something to do with these symptoms?

I don't have any ideas as to what this may be. Have you seen a neurologist? This sounds like it may be a neurological condition.

No....my PCP keeps telling me there's nothing wrong that I am doing it to myself. The first doctor I saw told me it was anxiety and panic disorder. I think I need to find a new doctor....anyone agree?
