I had a prolapse, often referred to as an
elongated cervix as I did not have weak
pelvic floor muscles and am able to
perform pelvic floor exercises straight
after surgery
You didn’t state if you ever have had
such bowel symptoms before the
hysterectomy or if they occurred for the
first time after the surgery.
If you have had them for a long time you
probably have irritable bowel syndrome
(IBS) which is a practically incurable
life-long functional disorder.
If you got these symptoms for the first
time after the surgery, they could be due
to the anesthesia. If so, your symptoms
should vanish spontaneously in less than
12 weeks.
