You usually find out around the..i think
the 17-18th weeks or over.
Ultrasounds are not a 100% sure thing
though.

Please don't type all in caps. It is
considered yelling and is rude to do on
forums.
You cannot find out the sex at 12 weeks.
Like Krystine said, sex determination via
ultrasound can happen usually after 18
weeks. It has been known to happen sooner
- but not at 12 weeks.

ya its possible, but most times they say
we cant see anything, the legs are
crossed, or you cant tell for sure. Which
is why they say its clearer and more
visable around 17-18weeks and up

It is possible at 12/13 weeks but not
likely. Mom has to be super skinny, and
baby has to have legs wide open. You can
only pick out boys if it happens to be
hanging out there but it's mostly
impossible to call girls because a package
maybe just hiding.

As far as i knew it's impossible because i
always thought that external reproductive
organs become noticable from 15 weeks

the reprocuctive organs are developed at
that time, but not very common to be
noticed on ultrasound scan. Its usually
more clear farther along.
And she was asking if they can be seen at
12 weeks.

My OB always waiting until I was 20 weeks.
It's kind of a two fold thing. It's easier
to detect, and it's also considered "out
of the woods". Some OBs are sensitive
about letting the mother get too prepared
too soon, since they see miscarriages all
the time.
