Hello, first off I am sorry if this is the
wrong forum but it was the closest match
that I found.
About 10 years ago now I was involved in a
serious car accident that left me with ~5
brain contusions. I was not expected to
live but came out of it with little-to-no
side effects. But now, 10 years later, I
am starting to notice problems. I
experience severe head aches, so bad that
at times it affects my eyesight. My vision
blurs and takes a good amount of time to
focus on different objects, all light just
plain hurts and I find myself wearing sun
glasses while inside to try and ease the
pain. I was told to not get overheated,
well I live in Texas and my job requires
me to work outside from time to time. I
notice on days where I do overheat the
headaches tend to be more severe. Am I
actually causing more damage when I
overheat, or is overheating just
aggravating the damage I already have
sustained?
Also, I have read on multiple sites that
one of the symptoms of severe head
injuries is exhaustion or being tired all
the time. I feel this way a lot. Every day
it seems I have to push myself a little
harder to get through it. Is this just my
brain “thinking” my body is
tired? Sometimes I wake up from a full
nights sleep only to still be tired.
Physically I am in great shape (minus the
brain damage, *chuckle*), no reason at all
for me to be tired.
Is pushing myself to keep going the wrong
thing to do? I have a great job and a
great life, I do not want either to
change.
Worried,
Wade
