okay I have been on Birth Controls for about a year and a half by now. Last month I decided to skip my period for convienance reasons (I am going on two trips with my bf) I have never had sex and we haven't done anything that would cause me to become pregnant. Lately though, I have had breakthrough bleeding and cramps similar to menstrual but that not extreme. Should I be worried or is this normal?

Thanks!

i've been told that the first time you try to "skip" your period on the pills by skipping the placebos and just starting your next pack..its usually unsuccessful..so the bleeding is probably just an expected side effect, i'm pretty sure its normal

It's normal, especially if this was your first time trying to skip your period. If you continue to have cramps and bleeding then you should speak with a doctor

Thanks a lot. This week is my placebo week so I am going to assume that the bleeding and the cramping will be due to my time of the month.

Thanks once again
