Hi,
My mom, age 86, has been diagnosed with
bone cancer which originated in her
breast. It is now in her femur, skull,
arms and lymph nodes.
She started an anti estrogen pill, Femara,
and we were told it would lessen the pains
and shrink the cancer. She began
treatment last week.
She thinks she won't live to see
Christmas, but the doctors painted a more
optimistic picture.
Anyone have any experience with this
journey? I don't want to overwhelm her
with visitors who wish to see her one last
time, but if most patients pass quickly
from this stage, maybe relatives should go
see her.
Thank you.
