I started getting milk when I was 17 weeks pregnant.. It was clear then, now its coming out white- "real milk" Will my baby miss out on the benifits of the pre milk? ( clear milk)

Colostrum is actually kind of a dark yellow/orangey color. That's the stuff your baby needs in the beginning.

As long as you're not forcing the milk out of your breasts (playing with them, trying to get more to come out) you'll be fine. But you can ask your doctor about it if you're concerned.

It's not milk, it's colostrum. You only produce milk a few days after birth, your breasts become very engorged & hard when your proper milk comes in. Your baby won't miss out on anything, some women leak a lot when they're pregnant.

How much of it is there? If it were the milk there would be LOTS of it and you would deff no. Colostrum varries in colour in each woman it ranges from clear to white. Mine changed colour it was clear then smokey then a sort of off white colour by 39 weeks it was white and yes it was still the colostrum not the milk. However it is possible for the milk to come in before the bub does, if you pump it or squeeze it or even thinking about the baby and breastfeeding can trigger the hormones to release early. It has been reported that woman have started lactating just by stimulating the nipples often.
