breasts leaking ? Posted: 05-20-08 21:32pm
Lately, my breasts have been leaking, but
normally not enough to notice until i have
a shower and go to clean them, but today,
theyve been leaking alot, is this normal
at 35 weeks? Could it have been made worse
by stress? And are there any special
things i now need to do to keep them
hygenic?

actually it would probably be less with
stress, i know when your breastfeeding if
your calm you make more milk and have a
better let down whereas if your stressed
you make less and have a less senstitve
let down
that being said, yes it is normal and the
only thing you should do is rinse them in
the shower (many times even soap makes
them worse, dry irritated etc)

try using some breast pads to stop it
soaking your clothes/underwear and just
keep them clean and dry. It's perfectly
normal!

it can happen in late pregnancy, it's
colostrum (the substance you produce
before breast milk). Some women get it in
pregnancy, some don't - all perfectly
normal!
