brown discharge after first time sex
Posted: 07-16-08 16:37pm

Recently i have had sex for the first time, and now about a month later i have been getting brown discharge, about a week before my period. There is also discomfort and i don't know whether this is normal, or if it is to do with losing my virginity, i'd really appreciate some help!

It's probably just some old blood that's just finding it's way out. As long as you used any form of birth control when you had sex then I wouldn't really be worried about it.

If you miss your period, then test.

You can get brown for a number of reasons, but in your case it sounds like old blood left over from another period or your most recent one.

Brown blood is just blood that has been there for awhile. It starts out bright red, then becomes deoxygenated and isn't as bright anymore-- or brown.
