bulemia relapse ?
Posted: 03-23-08 14:38pm

So last night i started feeling pretty sick... I was at a friends house with about 8 other people.. just having fun and what not. Well one of my friends was like.. just go make yourself throw up and i promise you'll feel better. She is not bulimic or anything. But she knows about my problems. So i did just that. once turned into several.

Keep in mind... i used to be very intensely involved in bulimia until it made me so sick i threw up blood and i couldn't function anymore so i stopped. Since then, i've purged maybe twice. Its been since November of 2006. Great progress i know! Smile

But i kept making myself purge last night.. over and over. I just couldn't stop. Now i'm scared i'm back into purging again. I was so okay for so long.. and now im back at an all time low. Today i ate some noodles when i came home because i was hung over and i needed food in me... Well, i had the immediate urge to go purge Sad I didn't only because my friend was here. Now she's gone.. and i have nobody to stop me. I am so scared its coming back. I'm fighting. But it's so close to winning. I'll never win this battle, im afraid. Sad

ana now turning into mia Sad
not again. why me?

If you have insurance, some will pay for rehab eating disorder clinics. There should be a few in you area. Alot of mental health facilities also have a sperate wing for this. I worked in one that did and it was alway full. This disorder has to be treated similar to that of an addict and go through a withdrawl period. This is something that would be very hard to do out patient withou a lot of will power.

Unfortunately i do not have health insurance. Both of my parents are self employed, and not to mention they're divorced. My mom would never be able to send me to one of those places... :-\

OK then, we will have to have your back on this one then. You can concoure this on your own if you really want to stop. Try eating alot of fruit and veggies. Try to avoid saturated fats and suger foods. Don't eat untill you are sick. Eat just enough to be comfortable and just stop. There should be some on line help if you type in the word Balemia and see what you can come up with. There might be some good information and helpful hints you can use to help. I wish you the best and don't be a stranger here on ehealth. Let us know how you are doing. This might just take the only will power you have. And I am sure you have plenty. Wink
