How does teen pregnancy affect the teen
and teens parents?
No parent expects or thinks they will ever
hear their teenage daughter is having a
baby, at first they are shocked about the
whole situation and worry they wont have
enough money to raise their child, or that
their too young to raise a child.
It could get a little ugly at first,
parents may not want to talk to their teen
for a while, but as they get adjusted they
could come around. Not every family reacts
this way, i can imagine that some dont
want to have anything to do with their
teen..
If a teen gets pregnant really young, it
can have serious damage, they may not be
able to have any more children, im not
sure all the effects, but i think this
happens to those who are much younger.
The baby could be premature as well, but
that also could happen to any pregnant
women young or old, im not sure if its
more common for those who get pregnant
young though.

I think that most parents who love, and
care for the child...Will be supportive in
what ever situation they are in.--
Although they may be dissapointed. As
would I.-- They want the best for their
child and their child's, baby. If the girl
is under the age of 15...She will have a
very high risk pregnancy. But A young
woman. (16,17,1 is actually less
likely to have a high risk pregnancy
because Her body is in good shape (most).
Her body hasn't had 35 years of working,
stress, and other things hard on your
body. -- its fresh. In shape, and fully
capable of having a baby. -
The biggest risk for the baby, is an
irresponsible teen. Drinking, Smoking,
ect. When they are prgnant. This could
have serious effects on the fetus.
But all in all I think they will have a
better realationship in the end. Hard
times bring people closer together. Look
at America after 9/11...every body comes
together in a crisis. So should a good
family.
