Cant decide Posted: 03-25-08 08:49am
So Ive been gone again for a few weeks!
With all the stress and the shock of
finding out I'm pregnant again and Alfie
suddenly deciding to become the most
demanding baby on the planet I ended up
getting flu. Urgh it was awful but Im over
the worst! I am now 8 weeks gone and
feeling very tired!! It doesnt help as I
said above Alfie has decided to play up at
night. I have no idea what has happened to
him but he just fights sleep really bad
and screams all night. I dont think hes
hurting because if you sit him up and talk
to him he stops and smiles. Its just when
you leave him in the cot or try to cuddle
him of to sleep he starts. Some people
think he may be teething, I hope they're
right then atleast there is a reason for
it!!
Anyway, the reason why I am posting...
Some people might remember from when I had
Alfie, my local hospital doesnt tell you
the gender of your baby through scans
because of insurance and cultural reasons.
So my last 3 babas have been a surprise.
Chris compensation for the leg accident is
through soon and he has said as a present
he is going to give me some cash to do as
I want with!! So I am going to have more
than enough to get a private gender scan
done without having to worry about money
this time round. But I cant decide whether
to do it! Its frustrating but exciting
guessing what you got and I love after all
the hard work of labour you get to find
out! But at the same time 3 boys in, it
would be nice to know in advance whether I
am ever going to get a girl or I am
getting sons all the way! Also if I find
out I can buy either blue or pink things
instead of white and yellow!! Did anyone
get they're scan done and wish they had
kept it a surprise afterwards? Or has
anyone had a surprise baby and found out
what the baby was next time round?

We found out what we were having at about
20 weeks. Then we had a 3D Ultrasound at
around 34 weeks, just to be sure the 20
week was correct. It was very clear at 34
weeks that we were having a girl. We
wanted to know so that we would be a
little better prepared. I'm glad we found
out.
