DOCTOR,
I HAVE A NEW BORN MALE BABY OF 4 DAYS . AT THE TIME OF BIRTH HE HAD UPPER CLEFT LIP. THE CLEFT IS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF UPPER LIP JUST BENEATH THE LEFT NOSTRIL. W ARE VERY WORRIED ABOUT THAT. WE HAVE HEARD THAT IT IS REPAIRABLE THROUGH A MICRO SURGERY. PLS GUIDE US IF IT IS TRUE. CAN IT BE REPAIRED. CAN THE BABY LEAD A NORMAL LIFE . WILL EVERYTHING WILL BE OK. IF THE SURGERY IS POSSIBLE WHAT WILL BE AFTER AFFECTS. PLS DOCTOR US GUIDE US . I WILL BE VERY THANKFUL TO

Current medical treatment: NOT TREATMENT YET

A cleft lip (cheiloschisis) can be treated surgically very successfully. You may consult a maxillo-facial or plastic surgeon about this.
