Children's bad habits

My 15 year old son chews on plastic constantly. Straws or bottle tops, what ever he can get his hands on. He has had a constipation problem since he was very young. Now he goes every two or three days but always plugs the toilet. Should we be concerned about the constant chewing?

Yes, you should be concerned about his bad habit. He is 15 years old, not a small kid. Bad habits are more difficult to get rid of when children become older.

Having a bowel movement once in 2-3 days is not considered as constipation.
