If a biopsy has come back from a
colonoscopy that says the mass is not
cancer/not malignant, and its contained
with no spreading, what are the chances of
it still being cancer once the surgery is
done to remove the mass? Thank you.. D.

Sometimes, results from biopsy of
"suspected mass" can be negative, but,
surgeon, still makes decision to remove
the mass, because there can be
microcancerous areas in the mass that are
not caught by biopsy.
Surgeon can recognize some characteristics
of the mass like malignant during
examination with the scope.
Was your mum suggested chemotherapy after
surgery excision?
