hello, thanks for reading this! I'm 17 years old and in a serious relationship. My boyfriend and i have been going out for 16 months and two months ago i became sexually active. However, i've been using birth control since i was in grade 7 to regulate my cycle , etc etc. I take my pill around about the same time every night. maybe an hour or two hour in difference sometimes. On weekends it's usually around 12am and on week nights usually between 10-11:30pm. I have never forgot a pill, ever!. My boyfriend and i have just become sexually active about 2 months ago. I just recently finished my period ( 4 days ago ). During sexual intercoarse yesterday, the condom we were using busted. We noticed a lot of pre cum in the busted condom. I ran to the washroom to be and wipe myself. Is there any possible chance i may be pregnant! Pleasee, i need to know Thanks for reading, please respond.

Hiya, (not a doc just a fellow pill user!) If you weren't on the pill i'd suggest the morning after pill. But you are on the pill and as long as you have taken them correctly every day, not missed any, vomited, food poisoning etc then you are more than likely backed up. Although when you say 12am at weekends thats as in midnight and not 12 in the afternoon right? Otherwise you'd be leaving a window of 10-11 hours. But i think you meant midnight. You say you've never missed a pill so i'd relax. The pill is extremely effective and you've done nothing to reduce that effectiveness. Remember even if you hadnt been using a condom you would have been just as effective so dont worry about it busting. That was just there as a second barrier or barrier to stds. Hope that helps!
