Q: Confused on conception date ?

i slept with my partner on the 9th of may it is the only time ive had sex in 6 months it was 4 days before my period was due i didnt have my period so i did a test yesturday and it came back positive which would make me about 10 days pregnant i didnt think it was possable to tell so quickly can someone please explain things to me im just a little confused

It is possible to tell quickly in some cases. It depends on how long after implantation it takes for your body to release hCG (which is what the tests test for) and how sensitive the test is. If you read the package directions, it should tell you how accurate the test is at various points after your missed period.

A false positive is extremely rare, but false negatives can occur if you take the test too early (not the case here, obviously).
