I'm 31 weeks pregnant and I have not had any constipation. Is that supposed to kick in the last trimester or I'm just lucky I haven't had that problem? Just curious cause I have heard so many pregnant woman complaining about they have had this problem. I hear about hemorroids too, is that common to develop by the childbirth itself?

I haven't had constipation during this pregnancy & I don't remember having it in my first pregnancy either. TMI, but in the last few weeks I've actually had the opposite problem quite a lot. I think that can be just as common as constipation towards the end.

I'm not sure how common it is for the birth to cause hemorrhoids. I already had them before I got pregnant so I can't blame them on childbirth! It didn't make them any worse for me though.

Constipation is one of many common complaints that may arise during pregnancy (for example, backache, joint pain, nausea, heartburn, headaches, urinary frequency, leg cramps, and constipation) ...but is not necessarily present during a pregnancy. Healthcare practitioners recommend nonetheless that women manage these symptoms preferably without medications...so be sure that your intake of fiber is at daily allowance level. Smile
