contraction pain first trimester Posted: 05-21-08 14:29pm
I am 17 weeks pregnant with my third
child. I have been in a lot of pain for
over a week, with contraction like pains
and when I was examined in hospital I was
told I was slightl dilated on the external
cervix. I was sent home and told by a
consultant there was a 50 50 chance the
pregnancy would end soon.
Well I am still in pain and still bleeding
with clots and when I examined myself
earlier I could fit two fingers inside my
cervix. I was really shocked as I have
never had a vaginal birth or been in
labout before as I had two planned c
sections with my girls.
Is this bad? Should I be this dilated and
being left to cope alone? I am so scared
about the baby being born at home whilst I
am alone. I am sure a 17 week gestation
baby will be hard to see.
Can I start to close again at this point?
Please please help and advice me.

Dont worry to soon. negatives are
attracted to negatives. Think positive
girl! The best thing for you to do is
keep getting examined by your doctor.
Hopefully everything will be all right.
alot of wacky things happen during
pregnancyies that no one can explain, and
i know this may be alittle odd for you to
deal with, because of the concern of your
baby but things may turn around and
hopefully you will have a healthy
beautiful little baby! Lots of luck to
you and hang in there.
