I have been on Orthotricyclin Lo for over
a year now and this month i had a little
slip up. There are 3 weeks of active
pills; white for 7 days, light blue for 7,
and dark blue for 7, then there are the
green nonactive pills. During the first
week i was missing a white pill and my drs
was closed and i didn't have another pack
to borrow from. I had extra light blue
pills so i took one of those in its place
(i took 6 white pills then 8 light blue
and 7dark blue). I am now currently not
taking any because this is the week my
period is supposed to come. It usually
starts today(wed) in the morning some
time, its now going on 6pm and i'm getting
nervous. Does anyone know my chances of
getting pregnant from the change of pills?
I'm hoping its just a little off schedule
this month...I've also got another
question, i know that you don't have to
take the nonactive pills but what are your
chances of getting pregnant during that
week? Any comments would be much
appreciated!!

This should not increase your chances of
becoming pregnant. Since you still took
one pill every day (just an extra light
blue instead of one of the whites), you
should be fine. The light blue pill has a
slightly higher dose of hormones than the
white pill, so you were not decreasing
your hormone level any by taking a blue
one instead.

you should be fine, as long as you take
your pills everyday your fine.
