Pregnancy Answer A4757
A late period could be a sign of pregnancy but cramps and spotting can't. Because of the late period you could perform a pregnancy test to be sure.

If the test is positive you are pregnant but there is a possibility for miscarriage.

If the test is negative you are not pregnant and you only have a type of irregular vaginal bleeding.

You may want to consult a gynecologist if cramps and bleeding become unbearable.
