I have a dark brown discharge around the
same time I'm supposed to have my period.
I'm not on birth control but I have
protected sex regularly. I have had
unprotected sex a few times but not within
the last month. The brown discharge is a
very light flow, I only need to use panty
liners. What does this mean? Should I go
to the doctor?

Dark brown blood is old blood. This is an
indication that there is some hormonal
change for you. This can occur with
stress. If you are really concerned you
can see a doctor. Have you done a
pregnancy test? I don't really think you
are pregnant but it should be ruled out.
