My last LPM was 8/11/2008. We were involved in sex using condoms as we didn't want baby for some time.Meanwhile we went for honeymoon and we didn't used the condoms. I got pregnant and we planed to continue the baby. Now I am in 29'th week in pregnancy. this is my first pregnancy. Now the question is:
After USG scan the expected due date comes out to be 28 august 2009, I understand that we have used precaution till 20/11/2008. Do it may be cause of pregnancy. If i haven't used the precaution the EDD shoul have been on 15/8/2009. Is there any problem i will face for this DELAYED CONCEPTION during delivey. Also USG shows that my PLACENTA IS LOW LYING. my doctor told that it will go up as the uterus expand during pregnancy. But the strange thing is that it is going low after seeing in earlier three USG, first it was 3 cm away from internal OS, then (after 1 month) 1 cm away from internal OS, now when i went for USG on 2/5/09 it says Placenta reaching to internal OS. Please friends and doctors suggest whether i will face any problem in delivery..Please reply this is my first babay i am very scared...Please tell me whether the USG tell me the right EDD..

Are you saying you didnt have a period since August 11? You would have conceived roughly mid November being 29 weeks. Low lying placenta is something to watch but you can have a healthy pregnancy and birth. The placenta usually does migrate up during your pregnancy. It can be a slow process. If it does not your doctor will probably schedule a c-section to assure the health of you and your baby. I am sure your doctors are keeping a close watch on this. I know this can be alarming and a fearful process to be going through, just let your doctors do their job and you do yours by eating properly and taking care of yourself and the baby. Try to keep your mind focused on preparing for the baby. I know first time mothers worry about the what if? Low placenta is not as uncommon as you think and it can be a slow process in migrating.
