Dental problems and headaches Posted: 07-15-08 08:50am
I haven't been to the dentist in about 6
years because of financial issues. I'm not
quite sure if my teeth are cause these
pains but it started out with tooth pain
about three years ago and it would stay
for a month and leave for a few but now it
is constant. I've taken up to 5 IBprofin,
sleeping pills and an antibiotic to help
but it doesn't at this point. I've begun
to get constant headaches, a stinging ear
pain, and an almost shocking pain up my
neck usually on the right side. My mouth
is extreamly watery when this happens,
it's almost as if I can't control it.
Sometimes these attacks come out of
nowwhere and will stay all day, I begin
shaking I don't know if from the pain. I
usually have an extreamly high tolarance
of pain but this is just unbearable after
a few days, I cannot sleep and when I try
while the attacks are there I'm almost to
weak to move and it hurts to even shift
sides or move my legs. When I get up, or
sit up my back cracks and this started
maybe two months ago I do

Bad teeth could cause very strong pain
that can even affect the head so you
should have your teeth checked at the
dentist’s office.
Your headache can also be due to the
prolonged usage of ibuprofen. It sounds
paradoxical for a painkiller to cause a
headache but that is a proven fact if the
NSAID painkiller is used continuously in
high doses.
Upper respiratory infections, especially
sinusitis, can also cause a headache.
TMJ-syndrome is another possible reason
for your symptoms.
A cluster headache can also cause these
sudden headache attacks.
You may want to consult a neurologist,
dentist, and ENT-specialist about your
condition.
