I had a catscan recently, and I have diverticulosis and a fatty liver. I know what I have to do with my fatty liver, Cut out fat!, but it seems like I always have trouble with my colon. I have had loose bowels, since I can remember. I thought it was Housewifes disease, whenever I would go shopping, it would happen. I know where everyones bathroom is, and i'm so tired of that. I had a colonoscopy, and the camera pill, showed ulcers in my small intestines, and now this other. I am taking pentasa,(500mg),2 pills 4 times a day, and I still have loose bowels. I recently had pains across my lower abdomen, and thats why they suggested the cat scan. If anyone has any suggestions for me, I would appreciate it. By the way, what is Diverticulosis? Hope to hear from anyone soon about my health problems. June1968

Have you ever requested or submitted a microbiological examination of the stool in order to exclude intestinal infection as a possible diagnosis? Have you performed an occult blood test during the last round of medical examinations?
