I had my second u/s yesterday. On the first I was 5wk 2days and could not see a fetal pole but had a ges sac and yolk. With yesterday's u/s they saw a fetal pole but no heartbeat. We measured to be 6wks 2 days. Is it common to not see a heartbeat at this stage?

Yes it is very common to not see a heart beat for quite a while yet, so relax, remember the baby isn't fully formed yet and if there was a problem the doctors would have informed you
