I am on my second full term pregnancy. My
first one was in 2004, I don't remember
much of it or the delivery because it all
went by so fast so I'm still having
concerns about contractions. It seems to
happen mostly when I eat, ocasionally
other times too. I guess what I'm trying
to do is figure out if these are really
contractions! I don't get period like
cramps but my stomach does get hard and is
very sore. Sometimes they happen one right
after the other but then they just
dissapear and don't come back for a few
days. My due date is July 20th and I'm set
for a c-section on July 15th but I don't
feel like i'm going to make it that far.
She has already dropped and its very hard
for me to walk around. Not to mention how
lazy I just got. I used to be able to get
up every morning and head out for my
errands, now all I want to do is sleep!
Its like it just happened over night!

The third trimester to me has always been
the most awful thing to have to go
through. Figure, the baby feet are up by
your rib cage causes horrific pain at
times. And even if the baby is not engaged
in the birth canal, I causes so much
stress and discomfort on you bladder. Yes,
third trimester is hell on wheels. I have
three boys and as I remember, I don't
really think anthing I eat caused me any
more discomfort then I already had. I
would take you questions i[ with you OB.
At least then you can cover all bases.

it sounds like what your having is
"braxton Hicks" its a mild form of
contractions, trust me, real labor pains
are WAY worse. I'm about 6 months and I
already get them too, im on my third
pregnancy, both prior have been carried to
term. The best thing for you to do when
you get them is try resting, you are going
to need your strength anyway Put your feet up
and put a pillow between your legs, this
helped and still does help me. And you
might be getting some discomfort when you
eat because of the lack of room in there,
remember your tummy shrinks considerably
especially in the third trimester. Good
luck and congrats on your new baby

You might want to consider eating smaller
meals so that your stomach doesn't expand
so much. Maybe instead of three regular
meals, eat five or six small meals.
That'll keep your stomach from puffing up
with food, since there's not much room
left in there for it! Hopefully that
helps, but it wouldn't hurt to mention it
to your OB at your next appointment
either.
Good luck!

Yes, obviously the babies weight is up
there. Not enough room for it to engage
into the bith canal. Or might be facing
the wrong way and to big to do a forcept
turn on it. If that is the case, you are
having a good size baby and no wonder you
are having this discomfort. "C" sections
are done for many reasons. But this is the
most common.
You also have to realize, if the baby is
big, it is also pushing on all your
intestinal tract too.
