I'm on the pill, but I recently had surgery & had to take medications that decrease the effectiveness of birth control. I've never missed a pill, but I've been a couple of hours late taking it. This was our only form of protection, he pulled out (which I know isn't a method of protection b/c you can still get preg from this).

Last month, I skipped my period on purpose, so I didn't take the placebo pills, I just continued taking the active pills.

This month, I had PMS symptoms like the huge headache and cramping (these are normal symptoms for me). And I had a period, but I wouldn't even call it a period.. I usually start my period on Wed morning and it's gone by Friday night. This month, I started spotting very very lightly on Sunday, 3 days early. I had an light period for maybe 2 hours on Wednesday, then by Wed afternoon, it was finished, completley. I know that this isn't stress related for me, stress doesn't affect my periods, and I haven't even been stressed lately.

I know that I might have thrown out my period schedule by skipping my period.. but I thought that if I skipped a period, the next one should be heavier, so that's why I'm confused, it seems weird to me. Is there a possiblilty that I could be pregnant since my time of the month was so light and short, almost non existant?

It guess it could be possible. If you think you are pregnant, you need to get a test.

Even though you don't consider yourself under stress, it might be a factor, plus having a surgery can really throw things off: surgery may not be mental stress, but it is physical stress. If you skip a period there's no telling how it's going to effect things the next month one way or another. Every one is different.

Also, if you post this problem in the birth control forum, you might get more answers.
