Q: Emergency treatment by a gynecologist
asked by: DoctorQuestion on December 19th, 2008
I am 5 months pregnant and I am having this massive cramping around my tummy and my back. And just few weekks ago, there's a big clot of blood that came out. I was scared but I just lay in bed and didnt tell anyone. Until now, I am still having this cramps once in a while.. I have to be honest that I have tried many times to abort this pregnancy. I have drunk cytotic since I was 2 months pregnant. I am so scared to do it as I am alone. i am also having this discharge like black colored blood or I dont know if its blood or what.
What do you think is my situation now? Is the baby still alive or its dead already? I am really weak to know the truth.
Any help Pleaseeeeeeeee!!!!

You should go to a gynecologist ASAP-As Soon As Possible (immediately, to be exact: urgently!!!). Blood clot and non-stop bleeding (no matter the quantity or quality) coming out from the vagina is a very serious sign. It could be a sign of internal pelvic or abdominal bleeding or an abortion (try not to panic, but to rationally go to your gynecologist ASAP).

All these conditions are life-threatening (not just for the baby, but also for you!!!) if not treated immediately and adequately. The doctor you report to should also give you the necessary psychological support that you need now, maybe more than ever!
