Can anyone explain what "decreased amplitude" of median nerve means??

Basically, it's the degree to which the nerve has been injured. A reduction of the nerve conduction amplitude ('decreased amplitude') indicates the degree of axonal injury in the nerve bundle. Decreased nerve amplitude
